Depeche Mode - A Broken Frame

On this date in 1982, Depeche Mode released their sixth single, "Leave In Silence". The B side was an "Excerpt From: My Secret Garden". Both the A side and the full B side appeared on their second album, A Broken Frame. The single reached the #18 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Essex, England new wave band still records and performs but they are a trio since Alan Wilder left the band in 1995. Surprisingly, the band has never had a #1 single in the U.K. or the U.S.
