Tracey Thorn - Plain Sailing

On this date in 1982, Tracey Thorn released her debut solo single, "Plain Sailing". It was backed by "Goodbye Joe". The A side appeared on her debut album, A Distant Shore. The B side did not. The Hatfield, England new wave/indie pop singer, who formerly was in Marine Girls, soon moved on to form Everything But The Girl with Ben Watt to whom she is still married.
